The Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Service The Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Service has been set up by the Home Office to undertake all vetting checks on employers’ behalf. Checks carried out will include information held by Police and, information held on the Department for Education and Skills and Department of Health Lists. The provision of this information will help identify people who are unsuitable for certain work involving contact with children and other vulnerable members of society. There are 2 levels of disclosure checks: - Standard, which will show details of both spent and unspent convictions, cautions, formal reprimands and final warnings held on the Police National Computer.
- Enhanced, which will be as the standard disclosure and also may contain non-conviction information from local police records which a chief police officer thinks may be relevant in connection with the position sought.
