FAMILY LEARNING

Family Learning provides a second opportunity for parents, grandparents and carers to return to learning whilst supporting a child’s education.

The Family Learning Programme is delivered through the Local Authority and focuses on: -

East Cowes Family Learning Centre

A centre within East Cowes Primary School opened in October 2000 to work with families within the school and pre-school including grandparents and parents/carers.

What can we offer you?

Courses and Workshops all week – working on your own skills and learning how to support your child even more!

Some courses lead to certificates with the Open College Network.

You can gain the skills to get you back into work or to enable you to help your child even more.

How to Join?

Simply pop in to the Family Learning Office at East Cowes Primary School or call to speak to one of the team: -

We welcome learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. We have a loop system and adjustable table in the Family Learning Centre. Materials can also be provided in braille and large print or on tape.
