Adult and Community Learning Life’s For Learning - Learning’s For Life | The Local Authority supports the development of Adult and Community Learning opportunities in the Isle of Wight. We support the community by developing wider opportunities for learning that can help develop people’s knowledge, understanding and skills throughout their lives. Learning is not just about formal lessons. Whether you want to develop new interests, skills or just have fun, we have many opportunities for you. Successful participation in learning activities can lead to a greater involvement in work and community activities engage reluctant learners and develop people’s confidence and self esteem. The Local Authority provides a range of adult and community learning opportunities including working with Arts, Libraries, Sports, Museums, Learning Links, Ventnor Community Projects and Family Learning.
Adult and Community Learning goes much further than school. Learning makes a vital contribution to the development of communities and supports families and individuals throughout their lives.
