BASIC SKILLS

There are 2 strands to this provision within the Adult and Community Learning Programme, the Community Basic Skills Project and the Family Literacy and Numeracy Courses and basic skills sessions provided through the Family Learning programme.

The Community Basic Skills Project has 4 strands of delivery working within the community arts, museums, libraries and botanic gardens. Staff training to support learners is a major element to enable the delivery of literacy and numeracy integrated into cultural/creative programmes.
