Counselling and Support

The Council has an Employee Assistance programme (EAP) for employees and councillors, and has arranged for a company called Personal Performance Consultants (PPC) to provide this service.

The Employee Assistance Programme provides the very best advice and support for you and your family household members. This also includes partners living at your address and any children that may be away at university. With just one phone call you can access this FREE confidential service designed to make your work and home life easier. You can call at anytime, as the service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All you need to do is obtain the free phone number from the poster which is displayed on the notice board in your staff room.
PPC Online

A new service has also been added to your Employee Assistance Programme: PPC Online. It’s free, quick, simple and confidential. All you need to do to gain access is log on to:- www.ppconline.info  using the Username and Password from the poster which is displayed on the notice board in your staff room.

PPC Online provides a useful complement to the services that are available through the Employee Assistance Programme. Please note that the information provided on the many subjects on the above website does not mean that you can obtain advice and information over the phone on some of these subjects (Legal Queries, Financial & Tax, Benefits & Grants). These areas are deemed additional services, which PPC has no agreement with the Isle of Wight Council to provide.

Teachers can also contact the Teacher Support Network.

The Network is a group of independent charities and a social enterprise in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, that provide practical and emotional support to staff in the education sector and their families.
