The Role of the Clerk to Governors

The Clerk to governors plays a vital role in the organisation of the governing body and does much more than just take minutes. The Clerk needs to work effectively with the Chair of Governors, the other governors and the head teacher to support the governing body. The clerk should provide up to date guidance and advice to the governing body on its constitution, statutory duties and powers.
